The Motorola Talkabout FV200AA Alkaline two-way radios are compact, very lightweight, and simple in design.

These two-way radios offer an inexpensive solution for travelers and campers. Transmissions on the radios are sent on either FRS or GMRS bands (22 total channels are available), and included in the box are two units. Clarity of transmission is fairly good, especially since you can toggle the volume between 16 possible levels.

However, as is usual with GMRS radios, the 5-mile advertised range works out to more like 2 miles. Nonetheless, the overall performance is quite good compared to their more expensive competitors.
