Following a similar design to their popular V710, the reliable Motorola E815 phone packs in a number of high-end features.
Most consumers will first notice the 1.3 megapixel camera (with 4x zoom, flash, and self-timer) that delivers surprisingly good pictures and so-so video, stored in either the 40MB internal memory or on a removable memory card. These memory options can also be used to store MP3 files and up to 1000 contacts in the address book.
Even more impressive is that the phone can access EV-DO high-speed data networks (presently available in major cities), so you can easily download (or stream) videos and play 3-D games on the impressive 2.2-inch 262,000-color internal LCD. You can transfer files using the embedded Bluetooth or with a USB port on the top of the phone makes for smooth and quick data transfers.
The lithium battery is better than average at three hours of talk time and a little over a week of standby. Other features include: vibrating ring, distinctive ring tones, voice-to-digit dialing, speakerphone, picture ID (on the color external LCD) and compatibility with e-mail.
Sturdy, reasonable in price, and extremely versatile, the Motorola E815 is a multimedia phone that is an excellent buy.
