Maytag Slide-In Electric Range MES5752

Date Published: 1/25/07

Attractive pricing, combined with some negotiating skills could land you Maytag's good-looking slide-in range MES5752 at savings of $200 or more off the list price. Eager to sell product, Maytag's dealers have some wiggle room on pricing that could pay off if you're in the market for a built-in range like this one.

With a clean design, sleek controls and a smooth glass-ceran top, we find model MES 5752 to be a particularly good buy, especially in stainless steel. Also available in white and black glass, this model stands up well against other non-convection models. It's PreciseBake oven rated best for even baking of two racks of biscuits when compared with leading non-convection brands.

The oven on this range has the ability to heat foods evenly and measures a spacious 4.3 cubic feet. Versatile enough for a busy family, this model offers delay bake as well as Cook & Hold, which is an adjustable keep warm feature. The "Six-Pass" broiler is recessed, leaving ample interior baking space in the oven. Equipped with a self-cleaning feature, this model goes the extra time-saving mile and offers cycles for heavy, medium or light levels of soil.

The cooktop surface is fairly standard for a smoothtop range, with the exception of the 12-inch PowerBoost element. This element, the largest and most powerful on the range, is the element of choice for quick boils and other high-heat tasks. The remaining elements include two 6-inch elements that offering 1,200 watts apiece, and one 9-inch element with 2,500 watts of power.

Below the oven, you'll find a spacious storage drawer for all your pots, pans and utensils. Both the elements and oven controls can be wiped with a damp cloth for easy cleaning. Each knob is also removable so you can get at spills and splatters without a hassle.

Value priced, the Maytag MES 5752 includes all the basics plus an exceptional oven and a convenient and desirable PowerBoost element to help you speed up many of your cooking tasks.
