This is a very powerful 7.1 channel receiver pushing 140 watts into seven channels, making it ideal for large home theater setups. The SR9600 has built-in processing for DTS-ES 6.1 Discrete, Matrix, and Neo:6, Dolby Digital EX, and Dolby Pro Logic IIx, and it sports HDCD decoding and 192kHz/24-bit digital-to-analog conversion.

As one might expect from a state-of-the-art receiver, the SR9600 has a pair of HDMI inputs and one HDMI output for complete high-definition digital audio and video connections. The unit also has four assignable component video inputs and two component video outputs, as well as seven S-video inputs and four outputs.
