Lifecore LC990 elliptical machine
Date Published: 8/28/06
Even before you step onto the Lifecore LC990, you know it is a well made elliptical machine. The user weight capacity is rated at 350 pounds and the machine's warranty for residential use is 5 years on parts, one year on labor. Lifecore is clearly confident that the LC990 can stand up to a lot of punishment. Once on this rear wheel elliptical machine, you will find the thick tubular construction provides a solid base for a very smooth workout, with 16 different levels of magnetic resistance. The LCD console displays distance, speed, calories, time, heart rate, watts, RPM, and provides access to 12 preset exercise programs to help vary your workouts. It can also store data for up to 9 different users, invaluable if you are looking for an elliptical machine the whole family can use. This unit features transportation wheels but weighing in at 151 pounds, the LC990 is not a light machine that can easily be moved in and out of storage. With an MSRP of nearly $1,500 it is also not an inexpensive unit, either. If you have the space and the budget, though, the Lifecore LC990 is a high quality elliptical machine built to deliver years of regular workouts.
Pros: Built to last, 12 preset workouts, data storage for 9 users, smooth elliptical motion and arm handles for a total body workout
Cons: Heavy unit, somewhat expensive
