The speakerphone on this unit is commendable and, as is becoming more common, the voice dialing is accomplished through speech-recognition instead of prerecorded names. The phone runs on a lithium-ion battery, which delivers about three hours of talk time and 150 days of standby, and operates over three bands (AMPS800 / CDMA800 / CDMA1900).

Other features for this phone include: 499-contact address book (that holds 5 numbers, 3 e-mail addresses, and 1 picture ID), voice dialing, vibrating alert, voice memo, and multimedia messaging.
