Offering the unique benefit of eliminating dust mites and pet dander from clothing and linens, this machine relies on steam-enhanced extra-hot water to power what's known as LG's Allergiene feature.

Not only useful for allergen control, the Allergiene feature of the WM0742HWA can be used to increase cleaning power when the SteamWash setting is selected. The addition of steam in this cycle boosts cleaning power by loosening fibers to release soil. Steam is also used in the SteamRefresh cycle to quickly remove wrinkles from clothing without running the load through an entire wash cycle.
