A 37-inch LCD HDTV that boasts twin tuners to handle standard and high-definition content, the LG Electronics DU-37LZ30 has a PC input so it can serve double duty as a computer monitor.

The cabinet is black with silver trim, and it has a very clean, sleek design with no distracting inputs visible on the front panel. Stereo speakers flank the wide-format screen, and the unit comes with a removable stand for placement on a counter or shelf. This TV can be watched from any angle, as it has a viewing angle of 176 degrees both vertically and horizontally.

The contrast ratio is 1,000:1, producing sharp edges and highly detailed pictures. The resolution of 1,280X768p allows display at 480i (SDTV) or 720p (HDTV), and the presence of a built-in QAM tuner and CableCARD slot eliminates the need for an additional cable box. LG Electronics' DU-37LZ30 features a motion-adaptive 3-D Y/C digital comb filter that takes care of any dot crawl and rainbow effects, and film content can be adapted to the video screen using 3:2 pulldown conversion, eliminating uneven action that can result when film is converted to video.
