LG Electronics' 15LW1R is a wireless 15-inch LCD TV that makes it possible to watch cable TV or cruise the Internet just about anywhere in or around the home, regardless of the location of cable and internet connections.

The silver TV unit has a glossy black border surrounding the flat screen, with control buttons located along the upper edge. The pedestal stand makes it possible to tilt or swivel the screen, or a small flip stand can be used instead. An internal rechargeable battery will independently power the unit for up to 3 hours at a time, and plugging the charger into the side of the monitor and an electrical outlet will provide continuous power.

The 15LW1R has most of the convenience features found in regular TVs, and it has internal stereo speakers producing 6 watts of audio output. The included remote control is well configured to handle the multiple functions of the TV, and it can quickly switch to the computer or the audio/video/S-video input source.

In addition to its use as a TV, the 15LW1R makes it possible to listen to music and view photos or movies stored on a computer (a wireless LAN card must be installed on the computer, along with the included Media Library software).

The 15LW1R monitor must be within approximately 115 feet of the accompanying transmission unit for the monitor to receive a signal. The boxy transmission unit is where the inputs and outputs are located, which include an S-video input and output, an audio/video input and output, an RF input, and a DC adapter port.
