LEGO City Fire Station 7945

The LEGO City Fire Station is a sizeable 600-piece set sure to keep little architects busy for hours. Designed for children ages five to 12, the fire station set is part of a larger LEGO "city" theme, and additional coordinating sets can be purchased to create an entire city landscape. Other LEGOo City sets include the Lego City Hospital and LEGO City Police Station.
There's a lot to like about the LEGO City Fire Station set. We like the option to build smaller portions of the LEGO City Fire Station. For example, the set is divided into sub-models. The large fire station can be built in three distinct, working pieces before being assembled to create one large fire station. The instructions are well designed and easy to understand (even for parents!), thanks to clear, sequential illustrations. We only wish the set came in a storage container, rather than a box.
The LEGO City Fire Station has plenty of fuel for the imagination, including a control room and an alarm room, plus two fire truck bays with working doors. The LEGO City Fire Station set includes four fire fighter figurines and two fire trucks. The larger of the two fire trucks has a working boom that extends to 15 inches.
Grown-ups and kids alike will appreciate the details included in the LEGO City Fire Station set. From blooming flowers to brighten the fire station landscape, to miniature fire extinguishers and control room computers, this set can send any LEGO fan to the rescue. While working with these diminutive pieces certainly builds fine motor skills, perhaps it's most rewarding to see little imaginations grow. The LEGO City Fire Station may seem a bit pricey at 59.95, but it translates into hours of fun.
Pros: Complete fire station set, including fire trucks and figurines
Cons: Pricey
