Cast-iron pans are well-known for their solid, dependable performance. These pans heat quickly, distribute the heat evenly, and retain temperatures even after they are removed from the heating source. The Le Creuset 3.5-Quart Round French Oven L2501-22 has all the benefits of cast iron plus a hardened enamel finish, which won't react or interfere with food flavors.

The vitreous enamel surface is impermeable, which means you can safely store foods or even marinate in the pan without worry about the metal interacting with the food. The 3-1/2-quart round French oven (also called a Dutch oven) is 4 inches deep with a 9-inch diameter. It has two metal side handles, which are permanently molded to the pan. It is available in an assortment of vibrant colors, as well as the traditional white and the newest color: satin black. The pan can be used on any heat source, including gas, electric, induction, even solid fuel options. The heavy cast lid has a phenolic plastic knob that is held in place with a single screw.

The Le Creuset cookware is cast from molten iron poured into a sand mould. Each piece is unique since the mould can be used only once. Suitable for slow cooking stews, simmering sauces, boiling, searing, grilling, frying, and caramelizing, the cast-iron French oven is best used with low-to-medium heat. You will pay a bit more for this pan, but its superb performance and craftsmanship will stand the test of time.
