The KR-370T is a 37-inch LCD TV from Kreisen with PC and HD compatibility. The silver monitor comes with a pedestal base and integrated stereo speakers, so it can stand on its own in a living room or family room.

The wide-format flat screen is framed in black to set off the picture, and the monitor design is very stylish and sleek, with control buttons out of sight along the bottom of the smoothly contoured front panel. The pedestal base is removable for mounting the monitor on a wall (a separately available bracket is required).

With a resolution of 1,280X768, a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, and brightness of 500 cd/m2, the KR-370T delivers bright and highly detailed pictures. A 3-D digital comb filter reduces rainbow effects and dot crawl for signals entering through the composite video and RF inputs.

Color is adjustable to cool, normal, or warm settings, and picture settings can be quickly changed to one of four presets. This monitor has a generous viewing angle of 176 degrees, so it can be seen from practically anywhere in the room.

The stereo speakers deliver 30 total watts of audio output, which can be set to one of four manufacturer presets or a custom setting. Computer content is displayable in four XGA modes, including from 1,024X768 to 1,366X768. Five favorite channels can be set into memory for quick access, and the KR-370T also offers closed captions, a sleep timer and a preview screen for viewing 4 or 12 small PIP windows.

The rear panel is home to a number of input options, with one RF input, one audio/video input, one S-video input, one component video input, a 15-pin VGA connector for a PC, and a DVI-D interface. The remote control has a relatively simple layout and glow buttons for night use.

With a single NTSC tuner included in the Kreisen KR-370T, an additional HD receiver is necessary to view programs in high-definition, and when using the picture-in-picture functions, only one program can be viewed live at a time. The other window can display content from an additional component, such as a DVD player, VCR or PC.
