KitchenAid Superba Architect Series KDDA27TRS

Date Published: 5/2/08

Terrific for a custom kitchen application, the KitchenAid Superba Architect Series KDDA27TRS is a freezerless refrigerator that comes in a two-drawer configuration. It can be used as a freestanding model or, since it is only 34 inches tall and 24 inches deep, it also installs as an under-counter unit. The KitchenAid KDDA27TRS has a total capacity of 5.3 cubic feet. The beauty of this unit is its two-drawer design, with a thermostat for each drawer. If you've designed your dream kitchen and include this freezerless refrigerator, you can keep your fresh fruits and vegetables right near your prep sink so you don't have to shuttle veggies between fridge and sink.

You can also switch the bottom drawer to "pantry mode," setting the interior temperature between 40 degrees and 60 degrees, or you can completely turn off one or both of the drawers and use it for storage, if you don't need to chill extra produce or other groceries. This model runs on about 421 kWh of electricity annually, so you'll pay about $35 to run this each year. Each of the two drawers includes a light, so you can easily see the contents. Both drawers have their own removable storage baskets as well, to help you organize the contents. The KitchenAid Superba Architect Series KDDA27TRS freezerless refrigerator is available in stainless steel only.

Warranty
2 years, parts and labor; 6 years, sealed system; 12 years, sealed system (limited)
