KitchenAid Architect II Series Slide-In Electric Range KESA907S

Date Published: 11/8/06

The 30-inch KitchenAid Architect II Series Slide-In Electric Range KESA907S offers an attractive glass ceramic cooktop, but the real delight of this model is in the oven.

True convection sets this oven apart from the ovens of numerous other convection ranges. This convection oven employs a third element, behind the oven wall, and relies on a fan to blow heated air into the oven cavity. Foods in the oven are bathed with softly moving hot air. This hot air gently crusts baked goods and delicately crisps the surfaces of meats and poultry, while leaving the inside of foods tender and moist. Not only will you enjoy the results, you will appreciate how easy this setting is to use, thanks to the EasyConvect automated conversion system.

Fans of burgers, steaks and chops will enjoy the versatility this oven has to offer almost as much as bakers. Broiling these cuts of meats is a cinch regardless of portion size. Always efficient, this broiler can be used on the maxi-mode for large cuts or the econo-mode for single portions. Each broiling mode offers a range of temperatures, so you can broil each different cut exactly the way you like it.

When your baking and broiling is complete, you'll continue to appreciate this oven for its variable-time self-cleaning feature. Set the oven to clean based on the amount of soil that has accumulated inside with the long or short cycle, and your oven will be clean with little or no help from you. When the cleaning cycle is complete, you'll find this oven is so easy to wipe out because the heating element is hidden beneath the oven floor.

Although the oven is the real story here, the cooktop is also well appointed. Of the four electric elements, three are adjustable to pan size. Two offer a 5-/9-inch adjustment and one element offers a 6-/10-inch adjustment. The benefit of these adjustable elements is better heat contact between pan and element, and better heating equals more even and efficient cooking of foods.

All of the controls for this model are located at waist height. A lighted digital display makes it easy to read the time, temperature and function, while knobs control the surface elements.

Ideal for an island or peninsula, the KitchenAid Architect II Series Slide-In Electric Range KESA907S is an excellent value and makes an attractive addition to a kitchen where a contemporary open look is desired.
