The KitchenAid 7-cup Food Processor KFP720 is two machines in one: a full-size processor and a mini chopper.

This unit comes with a clear polycarbonate 7-cup work bowl, stainless-steel chopping blade, reversible slicing/shredding disc, a second, smaller work bowl with its own mini chopping blade, a clear cover with feed tube and food pusher, and a plastic spatula.

This unit earned our admiration immediately for its quiet, efficient operation. It is not only extremely powerful but also very fast, turning out perfectly minced onions, uniformly chopped walnuts, shredded cheese, and pureed squash in less than one minute. It also tackled tough mixing tasks, such as traditional bread dough with relative ease and in less than two minute's time. The stainless-steel slicing/shredding disc produces thin slices on one side and can be flipped over to produce medium shreds of fresh fruits, vegetables, cheeses and more.

With sliced or shredded ingredients, you can use the full capacity of the work bowl. When chopping, mixing or pureeing, you will obtain the best results by not overcrowding the bowl. A light touch on the pulse button affords excellent control. With liquid batters, the work bowl capacity is reduced to about 4 cups to prevent leaking.

The KFP720 is available in three colors (red, black or white) and has a smooth touchpad control panel with three buttons for On, Off and Pulse. We loved the smooth design of the base, which wiped clean easily after use. We also loved the versatility of this machine. The second work bowl handles all your small tasks, such as mincing herbs and garlic. The mini work bowl capacity is 3 cups; however, for best results you should not process more than 2 cups of ingredients in a single batch. The second work bowl fits inside of the larger bowl, which is handy for storage and actually raises the bowl up to a nice height so you don't have to bend over the counter.

The KitchenAid 7-cup Food Processor KFP720 is an efficient machine for medium-size tasks. The compact size of this model makes it ideal for smaller batches, plus it stores neatly away in a cupboard or pantry.
