The Kidde FA460 is a rechargeable, UL-listed, 4-A,60-B:C fire extinguisher, making it quite capable of handling most types of fire, including trash, flammable liquids, and energized electrical equipment.

Designed for the home or office, we found it easy to handle, but homeowners who would have trouble hefting a bowling ball may not want to opt for the FA460. This unit is loaded with 10 pounds of monoammonium phosphate extinguishing agent and comes with a longer-than-average warranty (6 years). You will also need a far amount of wall space for this unit, which measures 5.2 inches in diameter and 19.5 inches high. Discharge time is between 19 and 21 seconds. Range is 20 feet.

The powder coating on the cylinder and the painted aluminum handle make the Kidde FA460 extinguisher versatile enough for marine use as well--as long as you retrofit it with a immediate-release, marine-type mounting bracket (not supplied).
