Kenmore Elite 44733
Date Published: 3/26/08
The Kenmore Elite 44733 upright freezer is an upscale stainless steel model that is meant to be used in conjunction with a freezer-less refrigerator. It can, however, also be used on its own.
The Elite 44733 looks stunning; you won't want to hide it in a basement or garage. It also offers a large 16.8-cubic-foot capacity and is relatively inexpensive, especially when paired with the Kenmore Elite 44723 -- its companion freezer-less refrigerator -- as a system; you may well be save thousands of dollars by going with these two appliances without sacrificing quality or performance.
Since the Elite 44733 is designed to compliment the Elite 44723 rather than operate as a spare freezer, it sports a number of useful features. It has a counter-depth design to blend in with surrounding cabinetry, and it includes an automatic icemaker. Unfortunately, it isn't very energy-efficient; it uses approximately 682kWh of energy annually, so you'll wind up paying about $61 per year to operate this freezer. Add that cost to the estimated operating expense of the Elite 44723 refrigerator and you'll wind up spending nearly $10 a month to run the pair.
But that's essentially the only problem with the Kenmore Elite 44733. Its door has two tilt-out white wire baskets. One shelf slides out for easy access and retrieval of frozen items. The main compartment has two full-width adjustable glass shelves and two strong slide-out baskets.
The Elite 44733 comes with a stainless steel front in a black cabinet.
The Kenmore Elite 44733 is a lovely, well-featured upright freezer with a counter-depth design and stainless steel doors; in combination with its companion freezer-less refrigerator, the Elite 44723, it can give you the showcase kitchen of your dreams for thousands of dollars less than other brands will cost you.
