Kenmore 75050 air conditioner

Date Published: 5/1/07

Just fine for small rooms, the low-power Kenmore 75050 air conditioner (Sears item # 04275050000) provides a small amount of cooling power at an equally small price. It operates at 5,150 Btu, which is enough to cool a room up to 150 square feet. Anything much larger than that, though, and the unit won't be much help. It is engineered to operate efficiently, while delivering a nice amount of power for the amount of wattage it consumes. This is a through-the-wall air conditioner, not a window unit.

At less than $100, the Kenmore 75050 air conditioner works about as well as you'd expect. It's certainly better than a fan, and frankly, not much more expensive. It doesn't come with too many bells and whistles: The temperature is controlled by a dial, and features two fan speeds and two cooling speeds. The Kenmore 75050 air conditioner offers efficient cooling of a very small room, without a lot of extras.

Pros: Low price, energy efficient
Cons: Low power

Warranty
1 year, parts and labor; 5 years, sealed system
