Kenmore 44733SS upright freezer
Date Published: 5/6/08
The Kenmore 44733SS is a wonderful example of a full-size upright freezer that has been designed to function with a coordinating freezerless fridge, the Kenmore 44723SS. The two appliances together, plus a built-in trim kit (Kenmore 04470), will provide the look of one massive built-in appliance for about $2300. What makes this upright freezer model so outstanding is its sub-$1000 price for a quality unit. It also doesn't cost an arm and a leg to operate; since it runs on about 682 kWh of electricity a year, it will cost only about $56 to run it annually.
The Kenmore 44733SS has a total of 16.8 cubic feet of space inside its well-thought-out interior. First of all, it has a shallow 25-1/4-inch depth, so it can fit in flush with your kitchen counters for a custom, built-in look. As impressed as you'll be with the exterior of this upright freezer (which comes in trendy stainless steel only), you'll fall in love with the interior as soon as you open the door. The Kenmore 44733SS has a frost-free feature, so there will never be any need to manually defrost this model. It has three full-width tempered glass shelves, two of which are adjustable for height. There are also two very roomy full-width white wire storage baskets that fully extend to help you store and retrieve items, even from the back of the appliance. The door is also nicely featured, with three fixed plastic bins and two shelves with tilt-out gates. An automatic ice maker comes standard with this upright freezer.
