Kenmore 36933 upright vacuum cleaner
Date Published: 6/26/06
You'll pay a bit more for the Kenmore 36933 upright vacuum cleaner than you would for other Sears bagless models, but the flexibility of this model makes it worthwhile -- especially if you have a variety of surfaces you intend to clean.
Three motor speeds are accessible right on the handle and allow you to match the amount of suction power to the job at hand. These speeds enable the machine to effectively clean area rugs, curtains, and overstuffed furniture and pillows, without drawing fabric into the agitator or hose.
Four height adjustments make it easy to pickup dirt, regardless of carpet pile depth. The agitator on/off switch also makes this upright ideal for cleaning homes with hard flooring as well as carpeting. When you move to hard floors, simply switch off the agitator to prevent the brushroll from flinging dust, dirt, and pet hair all about. If you have stairs and insist on purchasing an upright, this model makes cleaning them just a bit easier.
The 36933 is equipped with Handi-mate Jr., a small, powered hand tool that is used with the hose. Handi-Mate Jr. extends your range, while giving you a bit of agitation in a hand tool. It's best used for cleaning in smaller spaces, such as on stairs and upholstered furniture.
A HEPA model, the Kenmore 36933 filters out particles before they are drawn into the motor. The bagless system is convenient to use, but is sometimes a bit messy to dump. Included with this upright are two standard onboard tools.
