The JVC LT-32X776 boasts a 170-degree viewing angle, so you can view the images on the screen almost anywhere you are sitting, and it combines a 32-inch flat-panel LCD screen with a built-in ATSC/QAM tuner and a swivel/tilt stand to create a flexible HDTV with lots of appeal.

A slim black frame surrounds the wide-format screen, but the rest of the monitor and stand are silver, including the area below the screen housing stereo speakers. The pedestal stand can be removed for mounting the monitor directly on a wall bracket (available separately). Control buttons and a headphone jack line the right side of the cabinet.

The picture displays with a native resolution of 1,366X768. Colors are lifelike, and they can be adjusted to user preferences with the digital five-point color management system. The original smoothness in action scenes in film content is preserved through the use of 3:2 pulldown conversion. Five video presets are offered, optimizing the picture settings for movies, sports, video games, and other types of content. The LT-32X776 has a single-tuner split-screen feature able to display a live program side-by-side with content from one of the inputs. Users can also employ a 12-window function to preview other viewing options. Standard 4:3 content can be viewed in one of four picture modes, while high-definition content offers a choice of two modes. Additional convenience features include channel and input labeling, an adjustable sleep timer, an automatic shut-off after 10 minutes of no signal, parental V-chip controls, and a lock over the button controls.

A CableCARD slot eliminates the need for a separate cable box when a card is installed by the local cable service. The connection suite includes one RF input, three audio/video inputs, two S-video inputs, one component video input, one HDMI digital-to-digital interface, and two FireWire ports. The LT-32X776 also has a fixed audio output and an optical digital audio output. The universal remote control has illuminated buttons, making operation in the dark a much simpler task.
