The JVC LT-32X576 is a high-performance 32-inch TV with a thin LCD screen that can also display computer content.

The picture looks excellent, with a resolution of 1,366X768, a digital five-point color management system and an 800:1 contrast ratio. High-definition content can be displayed in 720p or 1,080i, and the set can also accommodate 480i and 480p signals.

The viewing angle is very broad at 170 degrees, so the LT-32X576 can be watched from just about any seat in the room. A 3-D Y/C digital comb filter helps create a very sharp picture without hanging dots or rainbow effects. Automatic 3:2 pulldown conversion is handy for adapting film content for video viewing, ensuring smooth action. Five video presets are optimized for standard programming, dynamic content, movies, video games and TheaterPro D6500K, and there is a choice of four picture formats to configure content to the wide screen.

The twin stereo speakers produce a total of 20 watts of audio output, with the option of enhanced bass, simulated surround sound, and BBE high-definition audio. The LT-32X576 has picture-in-picture capability, making it possible to view a second video source while also monitoring a TV show.

Other convenience features include an adjustable sleep timer, an automatic shut-off after 10 minutes with no signal, V-chip parental controls and a lock for the front-panel buttons.

Several additional components, such as a DVD player, HD receiver, and VCR, can be connected using the three side-panel audio/video inputs, two side S-video inputs, one side component video input, one Smart input for use with an A/V receiver, one RF input for antenna or cable, and one HDMI digital input, along with a fixed audio output and a headphone jack. The remote control is a universal model, with a handy previous channel button to jump back and forth between stations.
