Juiceman Pro JM419SS Automatic Juice Extractor

The Juiceman Pro JM419SS Automatic Juice Extractor provides an efficient way to rev up your juice intake for a healthy lifestyle.
This unit is solidly built, with durable stainless-steel construction, which earns it a "commercial-quality" designation. The lid, however, is made from clear plastic, which allows you to watch the juicing process. We also were impressed by the quality of the internal parts, including a stainless-steel permanent mesh filter with an extra-hard titanium coating that ensures lasting performance and peak sharpness.
The feed tube on this model is larger than usual, projecting 3-1/2 inches above the machine and reaching 4 inches in toward the blade. The tube is also designed to be extra wide and, with a diameter of nearly 3 inches, it achieves its goal of being able to accommodate a whole orange, tomato or small apple. Larger apples, as well as melons, grapefruits, pineapple and the like still need to be cut to fit inside the feed tube.
The motor on the JM419SS is quite powerful. Its 1/2-horse power strength is more than a match for even tough produce, such as carrots and pineapple. In fact, the juicer can even process the hard rinds of the pineapple and melons. The only fruits that require peeling are citrus, such as oranges, grapefruit and tangerines, since the oils in those skins tend to impart a bitter flavor to the juice.
There are two speeds on the JM419SS: high and low, which are easily activated via the touchpad panel located near the base of the unit. High speed is for harder produce, such as carrots, beets and pineapple. Low speed is best for softer produce such as citrus, apples, grapes, melons, peaches and tomatoes. The slower speed allows more contact with the blades for better extraction with the softer produce items. There is also an off button, which can be used to stop or pause the motor.
Other features we liked on the Juiceman Pro JM419SS were the extra-long juice dispensing spout, which sits a full 6-1/2 inches above the counter's surface to accommodate a tall glass; four oversize rubber feet, which hold the unit firmly in place on the counter; and the automatic pulp ejection, which lets you process unlimited quantities without having to stop and empty the bowl.
The unit's one drawback is the complicated assembly/disassembly with several pieces that have to be exactly aligned and locked in position for the unit to operate.
One clever feature about the assembly is that you can reverse the setup of the juice spout and pulp tray to favor right- or left-handed users.
At approximately $200, the Juiceman Pro JM419SS is a bit on the expensive side; however, this unit performed flawlessly on our tests and is certain to satisfy all your juicing needs quickly and effortlessly.
Pros: Powerful efficient motor, see-through lid, automatic pulp ejection
Cons: Complicated assembly
