While the Jenn-Air JFD2589KEP bottom-freezer refrigerator is stylish and functional, it lacks the extra, special features that would justify its high suggested price. Not that it lacks any redeeming qualities, but for that price, you could get a lot more for your money than the JFD2589KEP has to offer.

The JFD2589KEP is an attractive unit sporting a sharp stainless-steel finish and European-style handles. Its lines are very contemporary, and the fridge fits in well in clean, modern kitchens. Be advised that it is only available in stainless steel, so if a white or black finish would better match your kitchen, look elsewhere.

With 24.8 cubic feet of interior capacity, the JFD2589KEP has enough room to easily hold groceries for a large family. The refrigerator compartment has 17.5 cubic feet of storage, while the freezer has 7.3 cubic feet. The JFD2589KEP is also energy-efficient, using just 505 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year. This translates to an annual operating cost of about $46.

The JFD2589KEP has an internal water dispenser with an integral filter system, and the tap is located in the left French door. The doors are home to a total of five sturdy pick-off bins, as well as a clear dairy compartment on the right door. The JFD2589KEP thankfully includes a full-width deli/snack drawer that has dividers for organizing foods, as well as a special space for a bottle of white wine. There are also two humidity-controlled crisper drawers and a separate wine/bottle rack. Four of the five half-width glass shelves are adjustable, while the fifth is fixed above the crisper drawers.
