If you'd love to continue to grill indoors throughout the winter months, the Jenn-Air JES9750A will give you the opportunity to do just that, and at a lower price than you may have thought possible.

This specially priced range offers all the well-known Jenn-Air features, with one notable exception--the convection oven. If big roasts and delicate baking are really not your main interest, you may be thrilled to find this versatile model with a grill and optional modular accessories, such as a griddle and a wok element.

The spacious 4.0-cubic-foot oven still does a great job of baking. It offers two baking racks instead of three, and lacks the upgraded convection fan. Although this model costs a bit more than a conventional range, it will save you the purchase price of a ventilation hood. The ventilation system is built-in and draws the steam downward into a vent. This vent requires ductwork and should be vented to the outside. Many installations vent under the floor or cabinets, or into an accessible basement.

The unit is shipped with a grill in the left bay and an empty bay on the right. You will need to select either a glass-radiant element or a coil element for the right side. Many consumers also purchase an additional cartridge for the purpose of converting the grill to two additional surface elements.

An attractive, versatile and well-built model, this range is offered in stainless steel, black, or white. Cleaning the grill portion of the model is a bit of a challenge. We recommend using a cooking spray on the grates and inserts for easier cleanup. Following use, the parts can then be lightly brushed and placed in the dishwasher. Another welcome accessory is the grill cover, which can hide a messy grill until clean-up time.

The Jenn-Air JES9750A offers indoor grilling without having to install an overhead vent hood, although the lack of a convection oven limits it to conventional baking and roasting.
