The stylishly subdued SCS145.5S is a complete 5.1 system, with four identical satellites for the front and rear surround channels. This creates an even and smooth transition as sounds pan around the soundstage.

The satellites have a two-way design, with a 1/2-inch titanium-laminated dome tweeter and a 3-inch midrange driver (JBL calls it a transducer). To enhance movie dialogue, the center channel uses the same 1/2-inch tweeter but adds a second midrange driver. This ensures that dialogue is clear and pronounced.
