While Integra claims that its CDC-3.4 carousel changer is designed for custom home-theater installations, there is absolutely no reason that everyone can't enjoy the benefits of this fine changer.

Most changers only have a five-disc capacity, but the six-disc CDC-3.4 goes one better. The discs can be standard audio CD or CD-R/RW, including those containing MP3 files. While this is normal enough, the CDC-3.4 ups the ante with a 192kHz/24-bit Wolfson digital-to-analog converter. The frequency response is 5Hz to 20,000Hz, with a signal-to-noise ratio of 98dB.

The CDC-3.4 has a bright blue illumination so you can see what discs are loaded, and non-spinning discs can be exchanged while a disc is playing. The included remote control provides direct track access. Should you choose to use it in a custom install, the CDC-3.4 has features such as an IR jack and an RS-232 connection to integrate it with the rest of a home theater setup. In addition to analog outputs, there are optical and coaxial digital audio outputs. Whether in an expansive home theater or a casual living room, the Integra CDC-3.4 is a very modern six-disc CD changer.
