The Schwinn Free Runner LT Stroller SC508 is a solid choice for parents on a budget. This is a jogger stroller that performs well, has a number of convenience features, and best of all, won't break the bank.

With 20-inch rear wheels and independent rear suspension, the Schwinn Free Runner LT gives a smooth ride that rivals strollers twice the price. Unlike some jogger strollers that have a front wheel perpetually out of alignment, the Free Runner LT can follow a straight line with ease. Although it does not have a front wheel that swivels for easy turns, the Schwinn Free Runner LT isn't too difficult to maneuver. Still, it wouldn't be our first choice if an outing required frequent turns.

We like the adjustable height handle because it helps eliminate the bane of an aching back. And, with removable, washable seat pads, the Schwinn Free Runner LT proves to be a durable choice that can weather the miles.

A large canopy provides the sun and wind protection we'd expect from a jogger stroller, and there is a built-in parent cup holder and tray. That said, we think the minimal storage underneath the stroller seat will be a problem for some parents, and it's a feature we hope the company expands on future models. Although the stroller folds easily, the wheels must be removed for a compact fold -- an extra step we don't like. Overall, however, the Schwinn Free Runner LT Stroller performs adequately and has a price tag befitting a basic jogger stroller.
