The HP Photosmart A716 portable photo printer includes a number of attractive image editing features, plus the ability to store up to 4 GB of photos on its internal hard drive.

The A716 has features you'll be hard-pressed to find on other portable printers. In addition to printing typical 4x6 snapshots, the A716 can also print 5x7 photos and 4x12 panoramas. To help you get the best possible output, the A716 can reduce redeye, sharpen details, and correct color, all with the push of a button. You can crop and enlarge photos, surround a photo with a decorative frame, or add a greeting.

Perhaps one of the A716's most unusual features is its 4GB hard drive. As your camera's memory card fills up, you can transfer the images to the hard drive. According to HP, the drive can hold up to 4,000 images, depending on resolution, but that's a lot of storage no matter how you look at it. Even better, you won't have to wait until you get back home to view all your photos. You can connect the A716 to a TV, and view your stored photos as a slide show. Output quality is top notch. Colors are vibrant and rich, and images lack the printing artifacts often seen with consumer printers. In a vast improvement over earlier Photosmart printers, HP's new ink system is more waterproof, able to produce smudge-free prints even in humid environments.
