Horizon Fitness E20
Date Published: 7/22/08
The Horizon E20 elliptical machine is an entry-level fitness product with plenty of value built into it, thus earning a Budget Buy rating. With a name change from the Endurance 200, the E20 is virtually the same machine at the same price, and that means it is still the same value. With a 50-inch pedal arm and a 16-inch stride length, the E20 brings a big-time workout to an easy-to-use elliptical. The E20 utilizes the SuperConductor magnetic resistance friction-free system, which is still new to most home fitness equipment, to provide the smoothest pedal motion and consistency of resistance. The Tru-Track roller system uses a steel rail for rollers to maintain precision tracking from side to side; thus, no shifting mid stride. For the convenience of the home user, the E20, like its treadmill counterpart, folds up easily into a 36x26-inch space. Features found on more expensive models also included on the E20 are the grip pulse heart rate monitor, 15 manual resistance levels, and a balanced 22-pound flywheel with sealed bearings.
