Hoover's latest line of deep cleaners are designed with a modern flair and boast many updated performance features. On the F7205900 and F7220900 models, the extractors feature proprietary V2 technology, in which a dual air path in the nozzle creates two inverted Vs. The design is said to increase air flow over the entire length of the nozzle for better cleaning performance from edge to edge. For a thorough clean, the solution and water mixture are heated before being deposited onto the carpet. Once the cleaning mixture hits the floor, dirt is loosened and the carpet is scrubbed with the unit's five SpinScrub brushes. The nozzle and brushes can be removed and brought to the sink for easy cleanup. A special rinse-only feature enables the cleaning solution to be shut off, so only clear water rinses the carpet. Rinsing is accomplished easily with fingertip controls, and no special trips to the sink are needed to obtain fresh water. Two clear tanks, one for fresh and one for dirty water, provide easy viewing of the water supply, and each tank features carrying handles. For even more convenience, a full-tank indicator alerts the user when to empty the dirty-water tank. The automatic detergent mix system takes the guesswork out of filling the solution--just put in the detergent without having to measure. An onboard tool caddy houses a hose and upholstery tool for light cleaning above the floor or in hard-to-reach areas. When not needed, the caddy can be removed and stored out of the way. The upgrade model F7220900 also includes a SpinScrub hand tool for more thorough cleaning of upholstery, stairs, or spot areas. The new V2 deep cleaners are excellent performers at a great value, and are as easy to use and store as a regular upright vacuum, making them an ideal choice for almost any user.
