This HEPA-type air cleaner combines quality construction with superb performance. On its "low" setting, it daily trapped a significant amount of air-borne particles. On "high" and placed on a 2-foot-high table 3 feet from a smoker, it effectively cleansed a 10X15-foot room of cigar smoke, though slight cigar smell lingered for at least an hour. The product seems well built, with numerous features and benefits touted by the manufacturer--i.e., rubber-isolated motor mount; sound-reducing insulation, which noticeably knocked down noise output versus comparable offerings; soft, easy-to-activate switches. Two of the switches provide a way to check if the unit's filters need to be changed. Exhaust breeze from the unit is minimal, reducing the draft created by the unit. The light-gray air cleaner stands 17 inches tall, suitable for floor or tabletop location.
