We always say that looks shouldn't matter when selecting audio components. However, the Harman Kardon FL 8385 is one gorgeous CD changer. Designed to match other components in Harman Kardon's current product line, the FL 8385 is a silver and black carousel changer with a five-disc capacity.

The FL 8385 is compatible with HDCD-encoded discs with high-resolution sound, as well as standard audio CDs. It can be programmed to play back 20 tracks in whatever order you desire, and it has three types of repeat play: one track, one disc, or all loaded discs. The FL 8385 uses 18-bit Burr-Brown D/A converters, or you can use the coaxial digital output to connect to a digital input on your receiver. The frequency response is rated from 20Hz to 20kHz, with a 97dB signal-to-noise ratio and 80dB of channel separation.

There is a headphone jack on the front panel with a volume control. The FL 8385 also has direct disc-access buttons on the front, which allows you to select the disc you want to listen to without having to skip through all of the discs. The FL 8385 comes with a dedicated remote control. This is a great changer with a look that will complement any home decor.
