Similar in many ways to its cousin, the WaveStation blender, the Hamilton Beach Wave Logic 10-Speed Blender 50644 utilizes the patented "Wave-Action" system, which continually forces mixtures up, around, and back down into the blades for incredibly smooth results.

This unit features a large-capacity jar with thick, view-through, durablend plastic walls. The jar has front measurement markings for up to seven cups or 56 ounces, as well as rear milliliter lines. A white lid with a 2-ounce top filler cap twists and snaps into place to form a leak-free seal. A slight blue tint to the jar and cap match the stylish swirl of the wave logic logo and the lettering on the glossy white base.

Standing 6 inches tall, and just about 7 inches square at its lower end, the base houses a 600-watt motor and the unit's front pushbutton controls. Eight buttons, including off, Lo, High and two pulse controls, vary the mixing speed from stir, aerate, puree, crumb, and chop to the higher speeds of grate, ice-breaker, smoothie, milkshake, and icy drink. The complete blender assembly stands 15 inches tall on four nonskid feet and provides bottom cord storage.

Most blending tasks with the Hamilton Beach 50644 are accomplished in 15-20 seconds or less.
