This unit has a lever to raise and lower the frying basket while the lid is closed, thereby eliminating unwanted splattering. The white plastic housing provides a clean-looking appearance, while also retaining a cool-touch exterior surface.

The lid has a double filter system to capture stray grease particles and trap orders. There is also a viewing window, which lets you check on the cooking progress. The lid locks closed during cooking and also pops open at the touch of a button. The lid-release is spring-activated and stays open until you are ready to close it.

The Hamilton Beach Cool-Touch Deep Fryer 35020 measures approximately 14 inches wide by 10 inches tall by 12 inches deep with rounded edges. The front panel has two dial controls: one for temperature (from 275 to 375 degrees Fahrenheit) and one to set the cooking time (from 5 to 30 minutes).

Power and ready lights signal when the unit is on and when the correct frying temperature has been reached. An excellent feature is the removable cooking bowl, which simply lifts out for easy cleaning in your sink or dishwasher.
