Halloween is not just for kids. Friends throw freaky, spooky parties, while bars plan exciting monster Halloween bashes. Yet in the rush of the regular work week, what to wear the day of is not necessarily on your mind. With Halloween around the corner, Consumer Guide has costume ideas ready for you and your ghoulish friends.
Men’s Costumes
Halloween wouldn’t be the same without some frightening costumes. Scare the pants off of everyone with a classic costume such as Freddy Kruger or a character from Hellraiser. Or you can go for a non-traditional figure such as Jack the Ripper.
Party like a rock star and be one for Halloween. If you really want to get crazy, check out these costumes of Dee Snider from Twisted Sister. Maybe you prefer classic rock’n’roll. Let us not forget the King. There are multiple Elvis costumes including looks from his younger to older years!

Halloween with Jailhouse Rock Elvis
Perhaps you want to have fun and make a monkey out of yourself; you could always go as a gorilla. Another option if you want to be top dog is to go as a Hot Dog, or even Fulla Bologna.
Women’s Costumes
Sweet and sassy fairy costumes are found everywhere with Tinker Bell being a trendy choice. Other magical creatures are spotted on Halloween. Fanciful elves such as Arwen, from Lord of the Rings can be found frolicking about. And if you want to be noticed, you can always trade in your legs for fins and be a mermaid for the night.
Make Halloween a spellbinding evening with some classic ideas. Set off into the night in some witchy wear, such as a Shimmering Rose Witch Costume. Morticia Addams is always an enchanting choice for a costume, along with the bride of every Halloween -- the Bride of Frankenstein. But there’s always the opportunity to combine something old and something new with the result being a Gothic Ballerina.
