Graco Mosaic LX Stroller 6060LOT
Date Published: 8/1/07
The Graco Mosaic LX Stroller is more durable and sturdy than most umbrella strollers, but it does have a larger price tag. We like the stroller's five-point harness, but struggle with the stroller's small wheels on anything but concrete or asphalt. We do, however, find this model easy to maneuver, even between crowded aisles in a clothing store.
The Graco Mosaic LX has locks on the rear wheels, while the front wheels can be set to swivel or locked in place; this is a feature that is relatively rare in convenience strollers. Additionally, the stroller's parent cup holder is deep enough to prevent accidental tips; although it may seem like a relatively minor convenience, you'll thank Graco when your coffee doesn't spill over onto your shoes.
We find that the Mosaic LX can be opened easily with one hand, but that it typically requires both hands to fold. It has an unusual reclining system that is adjusted with a strap, but it's not difficult to use once you get the hang of it. The storage basket underneath the seat isn't the largest we've seen, but you can still reach into it even when the seat is fully reclined. And while it's great that canopy has a window, there is no way to cover the window when the sunshine glares in on a child's head.
Overall, the Graco Mosaic LX has more features than other umbrella strollers, but it also has a higher price tag. The cost is worth it, though, if you'll be using the stroller with a Graco infant car seat to create a travel system.
Pros: Compact fold, compatible with Graco car seats, easy to maneuver
Cons: Canopy is smaller than some and the canopy window doesn't have a cover
