Although the Graco Baby Einstein Discover and Play play yard is near the top of the play yard price range, it may be worth the cost for parents who like bells and whistles.

The Baby Einstein Discover and Play play yard features an interactive musical play mat, as well as bars that crisscross overhead. These toy bars have plush (and very cute!) toys that dangle overhead for a baby's entertainment.

The padded musical play mat and bars can be removed for floor time outside of the play yard, allowing this unit to pull triple duty as a play yard, portable crib and a play gym. We did have one very minor complaint: When a child pushes on the interactive play mat, the music plays for only a short time; sometimes this helps keep the child entertained, but sometimes we wish the music played longer.

The Baby Einstein Discover and Play only takes a few minutes to set up and even less time to fold up, thanks to a push-button mechanism. It comes with a full-size bassinet that can be used with infants who are unable to roll over. Overall, we give this play yard high marks for function and form. It works equally well as a full-size play yard, toy gym or bassinet. Plus, its colorful good looks give it staying power that both parents and babies will appreciate.
