For an attractive top-freezer refrigerator that offers oodles of storage space, just about every feature imaginable and first-rate build quality, the General Electric Profile PTS25LHSCC is an excellent choice. This fridge will cost you a pretty penny, but as the cliche goes, you get what you pay for.
GE put a lot of thought into the interior design of the PTS25LHSCC, resulting in exceptional storage flexibility. In addition, all components exhibit GE's customary high-quality construction, so this fridge should last for many years. And of course, as a GE product, it's no surprise that the PTS25LHSCC is very well lit inside. This top-freezer model is available in white, bisque and black, but there is no stainless model.
The refrigerator door sports four clear-front gallon-sized pick-off door bins, three of which are adjustable for height. The door also has a fixed bottom shelf, as well as a clear dairy compartment. The main refrigerator area includes four half-width adjustable shelves made from durable tempered glass, three of which are slide-out, and there is also a pair of humidity-controlled crisper drawers and an adjustable snack drawer. A white wire can rack is included as well.
The PTS25LHSCC's freezer door has a full-width fixed shelf and two bins, one that can be adjusted for height. The freezer bins are the same type as those on the fridge door. Within the main freezer compartment are a full-width white-wire shelf, a mini-shelf and an automatic ice maker and bucket.
One welcome feature among many is the PTS25LHSCC's internal water dispenser, which delivers chilled, filtered water through a delivery spout located on the top-left wall of the refrigerator compartment. The entire apparatus is very unobtrusive, occupying less than 1 inch of horizontal storage space. Digital temperature controls are placed at the front of the refrigerator compartment and are simple to use, and a plethora of sensors inside the refrigerator and freezer automatically adjust the temperature as necessary.
This is a large refrigerator, with a total of 24.6 cubic feet of storage space, including 17.5 cubic feet in the fridge compartment. Considering its size, the PTS25LHSCC is also quite energy-efficient, using 475 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, which translates to an annual electricity bill of approximately $43.
If you're willing to pay for premium features and performance, this is the fridge for you. The General Electric Profile PTS25LHSCC packs plenty of convenience and performance features into its flexible top-freezer design.
