Frigidaire FES365EC slide-in electric range
Date Published: 12/6/07
The Frigidaire FES365EC slide-in electric range does a good job of keeping the style high and the price low. Decked out in up-to-the-minute stainless steel, this model looks great and offers all the basic features you're likely to need, with little of the fluff. The price isn't rock bottom, but when compared to similarly featured slide-in models it stands out as a particularly good value.
With the FES365EC you don't get a lot of special features, but you do get a dual 6-inch/9-inch expandable element and an oven with variable broil. The expandable element gives you some versatility and allows you to match the size of your pan to the heat of the element. The variable broil offers two settings for broiling (hi/low) instead of the familiar one temperature broil.
Beyond that, this model stays with a tried and true set of basics -- four smooth electric elements and a 4.2-cubic-foot self-cleaning oven. Like most of today's slide-in models, the FES365EC is equipped with digital electronic controls for the oven and knobs for the surface elements. The convenient interior light comes on when you open the oven door.
We recommend this model for those who require a great-looking range for the kitchen, but need to stay within certain budget constraints. Frigidaire excels as a recognizable manufacturer that offers products people want at a price they can afford. The FES365EC is just one more example of this company's commitment to that philosophy. It's a great looking model with popular features at a particularly enticing price.
