The matching dryer for Frigidaire's front-load Affinity washers, the AEQ700E (electric)/ AGQ7000E (gas) is a less expensive alternative to other front-load pairs. Equally attractive and similar in performance, Frigidaire's top-of-the-line dryer costs less primarily because of its smaller capacity. While most of the high-efficiency pairs offer a 7.0-cubic-foot dryer, this one measure a smaller, but still substantial 5.8 cubic feet. About the same size as a traditionally styled dryer, this model is certainly large enough to handle the laundry needs of a busy family. And as an added benefit for some, the exterior cabinet is smaller, making it a much easier fit for laundry rooms that are space challenged.

Equipped with the most up-to-date features, this dryer relies on sensor technology to precisely control the drying of your clothes. Sensor technology measures the moisture in the drum and stops drying before clothing damage, such as shrinking, can occur. Seven cycles and a choice of four dryness levels offer plenty of alternatives for drying various fabrics just the way you want them. And as an alternative, you can simply choose to dry clothing manually using a simple timed cycle of up to 90 minutes.

The electronic control panel is easy to operate and relies on a dial for cycle selection. Status lights and a time remaining countdown keep you informed as to what is happening in the dryer. An additional status light reminds you when the lint filter needs to be cleaned.

Smooth, catch-resistant stainless steel is used inside the durable drum. Also included with this model is a handy drying rack for items that fare better without tumbling, such as tennis shoes.

Plenty of thought has gone into the installation options for this model. The Frigidaire AEQ7000E/AGQ7000E can be installed with the door opening on either side. It can be placed in a closet, elevated on an optional pedestal (APWD15GB), installed under a counter or stacked with the included STACKIT3 kit.
