It is a 11,800-Btu window air condition that is very quiet, suitable for the average-size bedroom or home office. The Energy Star qualified unit is extremely efficient to run with an EER of 11.8. It will remove up to 2.5 pints of water from the air per hour, making it an effective dehumidifier. In addition, it's loaded with convenient features, including a four cooling speeds, a fan-only setting, and an eight-way air-flow control for superior cool air distribution. Fresh air intake and stale air exhaust vents allow operators to draw in fresh air in the spring and fall when using the unit in the fan-only mode--and to expel stale air in the winter when necessary (cigarette smoke, cooking odors). A "MoneySaver" feature saves energy by cycling the fan on and off with the compressor. With the MoneySaver control switched off, the fan runs continuously. The unit does not have a digital display or timer, but the analog controls are very easy to use. The RS12L10 includes a slide-out chassis for a secure installation.
