Fisher-Price Rainforest Bouncer K2564
Date Published: 8/2/07
The Fisher-Price Rainforest Bouncer K2564, part of a rainforest-themed baby gear line, is a colorful way to keep a baby entertained.
This bouncy seat has a toy bar that includes two toys -- a toucan and a monkey -- that dangle just within reach and includes rings on which to pull. The toy bar also has one of the most brightly colored and complex scenes we've seen to date. Peering out near a see-through waterfall image (with built-in lights to give the illusion of moving water) are several rainforest-themed characters, including baby bats, a tree frog, a monkey and a toucan that moves back and forth. The toy bar can be removed, if desired, to put baby into the seat.
The Rainforest Bouncer can be operated in either parent-activated or baby-activated mode. The parent-activated mode allows mom or dad to play eight songs in a row, while the baby-activated mode permits six songs to play when baby pulls on the toys.
We especially like the bouncer's volume control, as well as the vibrating mode. The Rainforest Bouncer has a three-point cloth-covered harness and feels plush and comfortable. While the bouncer, like most in its class, does not offer any recline positions, it does seem to be tilted at just the right angle for an infant to enjoy the seat, and is not meant for babies larger than 25 pounds or babies who can sit up unassisted.
Pros: Complex and colorful toy bar, bright fabric, two music modes and 14 songs
Cons: Fabric cover may not be easy to wipe clean
