Farberware Advantage Cookware 11 Piece Set 71360
Date Published: 5/18/06
Farberware, long known for its classic stainless-steel cookware, has introduced Advantage cookware, a line of sophisticated stainless-steel pots and pans with a number of specialty features, designed to meet the needs of gourmet chefs. Constructed from quality 18/10 brushed stainless steel, the pans have a thick disk base with an inner core of dense aluminum, sandwiched between layers of stainless steel, for excellent heat distribution with no worry of foods reacting with the metal.
The pans have a tapered design, gradually widening from the base up to the mouth of the pan, which has a flared rim for easier pouring. The flared design works with the Epicurean-style lids to create a reduction chamber, which locks in and concentrates flavors as the foods cook. The lids trap steam and moisture inside the pan to retain nutrients and promote tender, flavorful foods. Stainless-steel handles on the pans and lids are riveted in place to provide a safe, permanent grip. The 11-piece set comes with 1.5-quart, 2.5 quart and 3.5-quart saucepans with lids, a 7-quart stockpot with lid, as well as a10-inch saut? pan with lid and 8-inch open skillet. Long handles have an opening on the end for hanging and are crafted for minimal heat transfer. The long handles stay cool to the touch throughout cooking--even at higher temperatures. The stockpot and lids feature ring-style handles, which are easy to grip, but which will get hot if left to simmer over a medium-high burner.
Farberware Advantage Cookware is suitable for use on all stovetops including solid plate burners, ceramic, gas, electric, halogen, and induction. The cookware is also oven and broiler safe, up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit, and dishwasher safe.
