Evenflo Titan Deluxe Convertible Car Seat
Date Published: 6/9/08
We tested the Evenflo Titan Deluxe Convertible Car Sat in nutmeg/black and immediately loved its style. It can be used in both rear-facing and forward-facing positions. In the rear-facing position it can hold a child between 5 to 30 pounds, and in the forward-facing position between 20 to 40 pounds.
This handsome car seat also has safety extras we appreciate, including energy-absorbing liner, a toddler pillow and head bolster. It has a five-point harness that is Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) equipped, and is advertised as having a convenient up-front harness adjust, though we found it to just a little difficult to adjust. Together, this combination of safety features is one of the best we've found in the convertible car seat class.
Our child tester who tried out the seat seemed to find it a comfortable ride, even during a long car trip. We can understand why: The memory foam is plush and looks very comfortable. From a parent's point of view, the seat is easy to buckle (if not easy to adjust the straps) and a safe and comfy place for a child to ride until he or she is ready for a booster car seat.
Overall, this is a gorgeous car seat with many safety extras we like. Better yet, it's offered at a price many parents can afford. The Evenflo Titan Deluxe Convertible Car Seat is a great buy.
