Evenflo Aura Elite Travel System

The Evenflo Aura Elite Travel System includes a full-size stroller, infant car seat and car seat base. The infant seat can be used rear-facing for infants up to 22 pounds, and the stroller has a maximum weight limit of 40 pounds.
There are a few things we like about this stroller: It has a parent tray that is better than some in its class, including two deep cup holders and a middle compartment with a lid. The stroller has a three-point, though we would prefer a five-point harness on a stroller. The seat of the stroller doesn't seem to latch in a fully upright position, sometimes requiring our tiny tester to pull herself up using the stroller's built-in tray. The seat reclines comfortably, and although the press releases claim that the stroller has flat recline with an integrated boot, we found it difficult to do this.
We tested this stroller over slightly uneven surfaces and it did not perform well. The wheels really need to remain on a smooth surface, such as concrete or asphalt. We did, however, like the stroller's comfy handles, which are covered in soft foam, and we liked its one-hand steering feature. Finally, we found the stroller is difficult to unfold and fold; again, though the press release states this model has one-hand comfort hold with auto fold lock, we found it to be more cumbersome than other models.
The infant car seat portion of the Aura Elite Travel System has a standard five-point harness and handy z-shaped carrying handle. It also comes with a base, but we found it doesn't install easily without the base, which is a disappointment. The car seat's canopy is a nice thought, but doesn't work as we expected. It won't stay in position and isn't generous enough to effectively block wind or sun. Plus, the head support that comes with the infant seat isn't very thick and doesn't provide adequate support.
When used together, the car seat clicks firmly and easily into the stroller, and the stroller does maneuver quite well. Overall, however, there are more efficient, easier-to-use travel systems for the same price.
Pros: Extra storage compartments
Cons: Difficult to steer, doesn't fold compactly
