Those needing the combination of a multifunction device with a solid photo printer will want to consider the Epson Stylus CX7800. It offers many specialty features for printing digital photos.

This multifunction device has a 1.5-inch LCD for previewing your photos before you print, and it can accept several different brands of memory cards. The CX7800 also can print borderless, 4X6 inch photos in less than a minute. The CX7800's print function can run at 20 ppm in black and 19 ppm in color with a print resolution up to 5760X1440.

The CX7800's copier function runs at speeds up to 18 ppm in black and 17 ppm in color. The scanner function for this unit has a maximum optical resolution of 1200 dpi.

However, this multifunction device doesn't include a fax function, which is a disappointment. Unless you can tolerate very basic features in a multifunction device--other than the photo-printing features--the CX7800 probably isn't for you.
