Emerilware Enamel 10-Piece Cookware Set 88001

The Emerilware Enamel 10-Piece Cookware Set 88001 is an ideal starter set or a smart way to upgrade an existing cookware collection. This set of gourmet cookware is beautifully crafted from heavy-gauge aluminum that has been coated with a super hard, durable porcelain enamel finish. The glossy exterior surface is not only visually appealing but also impervious to stains and oven safe up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
The Emerilware cookware line was designed by celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse, in partnership with All-Clad Metalcrafters, and styled with functionality and ease of use in mind. Available in either dark red or black finishes, the cookware is accented by gleaming stainless-steel handles and rim. The handles feature Emeril's signature and are double riveted in place for a permanent grip. They also have a handy opening on the end for hanging. The set also features tempered glass lids with stainless-steel rims and handles.
Cooking with Emerilware is a pleasure. Each of the pan's interiors features Emerilware's superior triple-coated nonstick surface, which has excellent release and so requires very little oil or butter when cooking. Note: Some oil is helpful to facilitate browning. Aerosol cooking sprays leave a gummy residue that defeats the nonstick quality and so should not be used.
The set includes 8-inch and 10-inch open fry pans, 1-quart, 2-quart and 3-quart saucepans with lids, and an 8-quart tall stockpot with lid. Each of the three saucepans has built-in pour spouts on either side, making it easy to drain off water or other cooking liquids. A clever lid design for these three pans includes deep rims that nest inside the tops of the pans and pour-through holes for draining pasta, potatoes or other vegetables.
We were impressed with the quick, even heating the pans provided. A simple medium heat setting yielded a steady rolling boil. The only thing to be careful of with the saucepans is not to fill the pans too much or the boiling motion will force some of the liquid out the side pour spouts. The flared rims provided quick, easy pouring and the drain-through lids saved the extra step of using a colander.
To keep your Emerilware cookware looking like new, you should avoid sharp utensils and wash by hand in warm, soapy water. The pans are not dishwasher safe.
