This is a new high quality Bi-Metal (BM) bandsaw blade with a high speed molybdenum matrix cutting edge, electron beam welded to a low alloy, shock resistant back. It will cut harder metals including alloy steel. It is also a good choice for exotic hard wood. Bi-Metal blades provide faster cutting rates and increased life (up to 10 times longer life than FB blades). Excellent toughness, shock and abrasion resistance. CAUTION - Blade speed must be between 50 and 300 lineal feet per minute to cut mild steel or harder metals. The blade will not last on hard metals at high blade speed.
