In addition to its incredible 6-1/2-inch TFT touch-panel VGA display and full DVD capabilities, the double-DIN AVX 2494 has a built-in 20GB hard drive to store hours and hours of music.

Recording to the disc drive is automatic--every time you load a CD, it is converted to an ATRAC3 file as you play each song. All of the music is easily accessible using the touchscreen, and song titles are automatically determined using CDDB information. A song playing on the radio can also be recorded, even if it has already started. You can also import music files via Memory Stick.

Of course, all of this is above and beyond the AVX 2494's capabilities as a DVD/CD player. The player can output 40 watts into four channels at four ohms. Complete DSP is onboard, with a full graphic equalizer and soundfield controls. You can even connect an optional camera and use the display as a rear-view backup monitor. The AVX 2494 is a very fun and extremely functional system that combines the best of mobile audio and video.
